I've been staring at the monitor for hours, unable to go to sleep until an entry was made. But I'm really, really suck at narrative right now. So, bits. HaHA! I don't have to write complete sentences!

- Flight good. Kept me in suspense UP UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE, the bastards; they asked me to volunteer to give up my seat, would have put me up in the airport Hilton until same time the next day and given me a free-flight voucher. They had all us volunteers sitting there waiting until almost everyone else was on board, then said sorry, the flight wasn't full, we were all to get on the plane. Sigh! And there I was, having visions of almost 24 hours in which to do nothing but read fun books, eat, drink and sleep.

- Tesher has grown. His vocabulary is vastly expanded (I've not seen the kid for a month and a half, lemme gush for a minute here). Among other things, he now says "myach" (ball), which he loves playing, and is devious at it, too. He screams less, and more purposefully, which makes it easier to call him on the bratty bullshit that he is bound to pull at almost-two-years-old. Once you call him on it, it's usually relatively easy to meet in the middle. He is much better at articulating what it is he wants, so feeding for example isn't as much guesswork. He is generally cheerful, loves Russian and English-language cartoons and kids' programs, and claps along to music. Most of this was true when I'd last seen him, but it's much more conscious now. Oh, he loves loves walking outside. Yay.

- I miss my loved ones, old and new, in Boston and around. Had a lot of great quality time with them, up until the last day, when a beautiful woman ate food with me and took me to the airport. And the day before, when an equally beautiful man ate yummy fish with me and talked and generally made my morning; and then packing and hanging out and eating sushi with a stunning redhead made the rest of that day, into the following morning...

- Am glad to be here, in fact enjoying family very much. If we can keep to this schedule of leave veek alone to do work in the morning, let her Teshka-sit in the afternoon, more worktime in the evening thing, life will be grand for the next three months.

- Am oddly lonely. Not sure that I want anyone around, just... lonely, and at the same time inward-looking. I may try to explain that better later.

- Have been doing some major work on Project, pretty much fixing what was supposed to be fixed by someone else. This Someone Else has attempted to belittle the problem on e-mailing list, which I did not let her do. Bitch, me. Yes. But goddamnit, if you're gonna have me doing your dirty work, which you did not have to do in the first place but actually volunteered to do, you'd damn well better shut up and let me inform people why the files will be delivered several days later than I'd promised them.

- Hungry. Misunderstanding over ravenousness-for-snack being taken for ravenousness-for-dinner led to no dinner. Picked some at things in the fridge, but still mostly hungry. Perhaps should sleep, such that breakfast is blissful tomorrow. Enough writing for now.
