The day has been mostly great, with the exception of that twinge described earlier. Which will go away (*to twinge* NOW), and things will be fine.

They are fine now. Good, even. Just saw with Teshka the Russian cartoon "The Bremen Musicians," which I haven't seen in yeeeeears, and it is so great! I'd love to show it to some of my non-Russian-speaking friends, since the only words in it are song lyrics, and it's really easy to follow. And it's trippy, man. It was made in the 70s. They wear 70s garb, and the princess wears skimpy skirts and is generally very cool. As is the troubadour, on whom I had one of my first crushes, at the age of something like 4.

Took an unexpected three-and-a-half-hour nap this afternoon. It felt great. I may have further mucked with my sleep schedule, but will make myself go to bed at 11 and see what happens.

Every time something relatively small like this twinge thing happens, I realize just how much life doesn't suck on the whole, and how much happier we would all be if we didn't fixate on the little things.

And how much easier the big bad stuff would be to deal with. The big bad stuff which still beats us over the head with a vengeance sometimes.

Perspective. That's important, right?

*hug* I really want to watch "The Bremen Musicians". I've always loved that fairy tale.

i can only wish you good luck in dealing with the twinge, and whatever else is going on. as for perspective: i find it's one of those things that seems to come more easily when looking at other people's lives. it's too bad that people can't loan out perspective to each other, like money ...

re: bremen musicians, when i was like five or six years old, i was exposed to a version of that story in some class i was in. i can't even remember whether it was a movie we watched, or more likely a filmstrip (BEEP), or even a good old-fashioned book we read. anyway, one girl in my class tried to tease me at some point by addressing me not as Peter Berman, but as Peter Brementown Musicians. i don't think i got much pleasure out of that.

Completely out of place
